In our school, it is thoroughly thought of
so that you will learn from vocabulary which can be used
in many ways.
In most schools, you will start with sentences such as “Hello”
or “This is s desk / watch”. However, these words like desks
and watches are not often used unless topics related to
them come up in conversation.
So, in our school, you will first learn things which will
be used for sure.

Rather than remembering the word, grandfather,
you can say 《father of father》.
It is to make yourself understood by combining the words
you know.

Let’s say you do not know the word, white, but know the
word, black.
What do you say in such case? You can say “what is the opposite
colour of black?”
It is possible for you to increase your vocabulary
once you learn conventional expressions in Thai.
On the other hand, other educational institutions teach
things
such as “Hello” and “Where is the washroom?”,
but those things can be found in all books or you can study
by yourself.
So, in our school, we are studying elements you can not
learn by yourself
as well as teaching methods to improve your language skills
quickly.
There are people who can speak Thai without going to Thai
language school.
Although these people can speak up to certain extent,
as in buildings, tall buildings cannot be constructed unless
the foundation is firmly fixed.
In this case, everything needs to be demolished so as to
re-build tall buildings.
The same thing can be said for Thai.
For example, the following is the comparison of vowels
in Japanese and Thai.

A number of vowels (tones) in Japanese are half of those in
Thai.
This is the reason why it is only understood for 50%
by Thai people when speaking in Thai.
People who have never studied in school even do not know
this,
so their improvement process is slower.
Thus, it is better to have a teacher who understands Japanese
and is good at teaching before studying Thai in Thailand.
Then, it is a good idea to have a teacher who does not understand
Japanese later on.
